J. B. Hunt selects RAIR for CSA 2010
August 27th, 2010
J.B. Hunt Transport Inc., has selected RAIR, a leading provider of risk management services to the transportation industry, for its CSA 2010 management services. RAIR’s program helps carriers manage their roadside inspection data and leverage that data to improve their safety and compliance performance.
“RAIR is the gold standard when it comes to managing compliance information,” says Greer Woodruff, Senior Vice President of Safety and Security at J.B. Hunt. “Their log auditing and management program has helped us improve hours of service compliance and maintain our industry-leading safety results, and we expect even greater things from RAIR’s CSA 2010 program.”
Woodruff cites customization as a key feature of RAIR’s program. “RAIR has been very responsive to system changes, enhancements and customization that have ensured high levels of acceptance within the organization” says Woodruff.
According to JJ Singh, President and CEO of RAIR, carriers are becoming more sophisticated consumers as they learn more about CSA 2010. “Initially carriers just wanted to monitor their ratings on a scorecard. Now they want to analyze the data to identify the root causes of their violations,” says Singh. “They understand how we can help them use analytics to create a competitive advantage.”
RAIR added more than 100,000 drivers to its CSA 2010 program in the past 60 days.
RAIR adds Roadside Inspection Report Manager to its CSA 2010 solution
July 14th, 2010
RAIR, a leading provider of risk management services to the transportation industry, has introduced the Roadside Inspection Report Manager, the newest addition to its CSA 2010 solution.
The Roadside Inspection Report Manager matches paper roadside inspection reports with COMPASS inspection data to check for accuracy, to assist carriers in challenging inaccurate data, and to help carriers avoid fines by complying with reporting requirements. “It’s quite common for drivers to forget to turn in inspection reports,” says JJ Singh, President and CEO of RAIR. “This can be a real problem for carriers because they need to know what’s in those inspection reports.”
The Roadside Inspection Report Manager alerts carriers when an inspection has taken place so they can contact their drivers and request the reports. “This tool helps carriers keep track of these documents so nothing falls through the cracks,” Singh says, noting that carriers have only 15 days to return signed paper reports to the issuing authorities.
RAIR’s CSA 2010 solution helps carriers manage their CSA 2010 violations data and use that data to improve their safety scores.
